Pictures emerge of Tinubu’s Brazilian welcome as top officials line up to greet him
Photographs released from Brasília on Monday showed President Bola Tinubu arriving at a formal reception, captured as he was greeted on the tarmac by senior Brazilian diplomats and a Nigerian delegation that included parliamentary and gubernatorial figures.
The official shots record that “He was received by Secretary for Africa and the Middle East, Ambassador Carlos Sergio Sobral Duarte, Ambassador of Brazil to Nigeria, Amb. Carlos Jose Arelas Moreno Garcete and others,” while Nigeria’s Speaker of the House, Abbas Tajudeen, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, and governors including Uba Sani of Kaduna and Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau were among those on hand.
The sequence of images – from the arrival at Brasília Air Base to the motorcade into the city – frames the state visit as both ceremonial and substantive, with the presidential party soon due for meetings, MoU signings, and a state welcome at the Planalto Palace.
