NITDA Unveils Data Exchange Platform to Transform Public Service Delivery
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has launched the Nigerian Data Exchange Platform (NGDX), which it described as a major step towards digital inclusion and improved governance.
TIMES OF NIGERIA gathered from the Agency’s official X handle that Director-General Malam Kashifu Inuwa, speaking at the NGDX Stakeholders Workshop in Abuja, said the platform would end the inefficiency of fragmented government data systems.
“With NGDX, citizens will no longer need to repeatedly submit personal data to different institutions. Access to public services will be faster, seamless, and more efficient,” he said.
Inuwa added that the platform would spur innovation by allowing startups to build solutions from anonymised public data, boosting healthcare, agriculture, fintech, and education technology.
He described NGDX as “essential digital infrastructure, comparable to the nationwide fibre optic rollout, in driving Nigeria’s digital economy.”
The DG assured stakeholders of NITDA’s commitment to collaborate with the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy and other partners to deliver cost-effective digital services to Nigerians.
