Jigawa Police Command Strengthens Community Ties with Courtesy Visit
The Jigawa State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to community-based policing following a courtesy visit from Sundimina Community leaders and the Properties Agents & Landlords Association of Nigeria (PALDAN), Jigawa State Branch.
Our correspondent gathered from the Command Headquarters in Dutse that the delegation, led by District Head Alhaji Adamu Muhammad and PALDAN Chairman Suleman Ibrahim, met with Commissioner of Police Dahiru Muhammad on Tuesday.
In his remarks, the District Head of Sundimina praised the Command’s sustained security presence, proactive policing measures, and the Commissioner’s approachable leadership style.
“Your engagement with community stakeholders and commitment to protecting lives and property have fostered peace and harmony in our area,” he said.
Similarly, PALDAN’s Chairman lauded the police for curbing crimes associated with land disputes, property fraud, and unlawful possession, pledging collaboration through intelligence sharing and adherence to legal processes.
Responding, CP Dahiru Muhammad thanked both delegations for their support and emphasised that security is a shared responsibility.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and law-abiding, assuring that the Command would continue strengthening partnerships with traditional rulers, professional bodies, and all law-abiding citizens to ensure peace, safety, and socio-economic growth across Jigawa State.
