Jigawa OGP Retreat Charts New Action Plan

The Jigawa State Open Government Partnership (OGP) has concluded a two-day retreat in Kaduna, aimed at reviewing achievements under the State Action Plan II (SAP II) and drafting a new action plan.

The retreat, held at Bafra International Hotel, brought together state officials, non-state actors, and chairmen of technical working groups.

Following the resignation of Co-Chair Comrade Aminu Dan Malam, non-state actors elected Comrade Isah Mustapha of ELIP Initiative as interim co-chair.

Our correspondent reports that the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Ibrahim Babangida Umar, praised the contributions of civil society to governance and urged the new leadership to sustain collaboration.

The state’s Attorney General, Bello Abdulkadir Fanini, and Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab, also pledged the government’s continued partnership to strengthen accountability and inclusive governance.
