The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Dahiru Muhammad, on Thursday, decorated a newly promoted officers with the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Command Headquarters in Dutse.
Our correspondent gathered from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shiisu Lawan Adam, that the colourful ceremony held on 11 September 2025 was attended by senior officers, traditional rulers, friends, and families of the officers.
In his address, CP Dahiru congratulated the promotees, describing the new rank as “a testimony of dedication and loyalty to the Force.”
He reminded them that promotion carried greater responsibilities, urging them to justify the trust reposed in them by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission, and the Force.
He further charged them to lead by example, uphold discipline, and intensify efforts in tackling crime and protecting lives and property across Jigawa.
Speaking on behalf of the promotees, DSP Musa Danladi expressed gratitude to the IGP, PSC, and CP for their support, pledging unwavering commitment and patriotism in discharging their duties.
The event ended with group photographs, entertainment, and prayers for the peace and prosperity of Jigawa and Nigeria.
