The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has raised alarm over rising scams targeting jobseekers with fake employment offers.

TIMES OF NIGERIA gathered from an official press release that fraudsters, some posing as FRSC staff, have been extorting money from desperate applicants and issuing counterfeit call-up letters to training schools.

FRSC Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, said: “At no time did the Corps mandate its personnel or representatives to demand money from applicants. Recruitment is transparent, merit-based, and only announced through official channels.”

He urged the public to report suspicious offers to the nearest FRSC command or law enforcement agency and verify information via official platforms such as (http://frsc.gov.ng).

“The Corps remains committed to fairness, transparency, and integrity. Nigerians must resist the temptation of patronising fraudsters whose sole intent is to exploit desperation,” Ogungbemide said.
