FG Rewards TeenEagle Champion, Nafisah with Cash Gift
The Federal Government has presented a cash prize of ₦200,000 to Nafisah Abdullahi, the Nigerian student who won the TeenEagle Global Finals.
At a ceremony in Abuja, Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, and Minister of State for Education, Professor Suiwaba Ahmad, celebrated Nafisah’s feat, describing her as “a beacon of excellence and inspiration to Nigerian youths.”
TIMES OF NIGERIA gathered that the Atiku Foundation had earlier awarded fully-funded scholarships to Nafisah and her teammates, Rukaiya Fema and Khadija Kalli, for their global success.
Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College, Nafisah outshone over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations.
“You are the future of Nigeria, and you have made us proud,” Alausa said, noting that Tinubu’s administration has prioritised education with unprecedented budgetary allocations.
Ahmad praised Nafisah’s resilience and intellect, pledging continuous support for young talents.
Nafisah, in her response, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government, her school, and parents, while Yobe State Commissioner for Basic Education, Prof Abba Idris, lauded the federal gesture as a boost for education in the state.
