The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, has congratulated the government and people of the state on the 34th anniversary of its creation.
TIMES OF NIGERIA gathered from a statement signed by the Acting Secretary of the Council, Comrade Aminu Umar Shuwajo, that the union acknowledged the contributions of past military and civilian administrations to the socio-economic development of Jigawa.
The statement also commended Governor Malam Umar Namadi for his “impactful policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare and livelihoods of the people.”
“Governor Namadi’s dedication to agriculture, health, education, youth empowerment, and his commitment to peace have kept Jigawa among the most stable states in Nigeria,” the NUJ said.
The council prayed for continued peace and prosperity in the years ahead.
