Police in Katsina State have arrested suspected arms traffickers in Ingawa Local Government Area as they attempted to move weapons to Safana.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspects were intercepted during a security operation and were found in possession of dangerous weapons.
They have since been handed over to the appropriate authorities for investigation.
A source close to the police operation stated that the arrests were part of efforts to curb the flow of illegal arms and enhance security in Katsina and its surrounding communities.
“This is a significant step in disrupting arms trafficking networks and reinforcing safety in the region,” the source added.
