Jigawa Council Chairmen support Governor’s sanitation drive

Council Chairmen in Jigawa State have pledged their commitment to the monthly environmental sanitation exercise as part of Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda on health and environmental cleanliness.

Our correspondent collected that the Chairmen of Malam Madori and Kaugama Local Governments, Usman Masaki Dansule and Salisu Sani Garungabas, made the pledge during the monthly exercise conducted across their jurisdictions.

They explained that the exercise covered markets, roadsides, hospitals, drainage systems, culverts, and other sensitive areas.

Heads of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) departments in both councils confirmed that the exercise recorded remarkable success.

Earlier, the council bosses assured the public of their determination to complement the governor’s efforts to achieve significant progress on his 12-point development agenda, particularly in the area of health and sanitation.
